2 lb. stew meat, 1" cubes
1 large onion, sliced
3 tbsp. oil
1 can (28 oz) tomatoes
1/2 cup flour
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
5 or 6 carrots, sliced
3 medium potatoes, cubed
Coat the stew meat in flour and brown in oil in the bottom ofyour Dutch oven.
Put the remaining ingredients in the oven and cover. Simmer for 2 hours or
until the meat is tender and vegetables are cooked.
